Policies
Before your appointment
Please make sure you have been to the bathroom prior to your appointment. The studio is located on my parents property and I wish for them to have privacy in their own home.
Come with clean hands.
Cuticle oil is your best friend but please refrain from using it prior to your appointment! This will ensure the gel sticks properly to the nail.
During your appointment
Refrain from using your phone (pop it on silent), as even texting can cause movement, this can make it hard to paint accurately.
Sit facing me, this ensures even shaping of the nail and helps both our backs.
Please keep your hands on the table and not in your lap, this reduces fluff sticking to your nails and possibly ruining the design.
Cancellations & Lateness
Appointments are held specifically for you, so it’s important that you show up for your allocated appointments. If you are unable to make an appointment and need to reschedule, or you wish to cancel - you need to give me a MINIMUM of 48hrs notice.
Failure to provide 48 hours notice for cancellations AND rescheduling will result in a fee of 50% of the appointments total value. No shows or cancellations / rescheduling on the day of your allocated appointment will result in a fee of 100% of the appointment value. If you are more than 10 mins late to your appointment it will be cancelled and 100% of the service will need to be paid for before we reschedule a new appointment.
Rescheduling for New Clients
If you are a new client and need to reschedule your first initial appointment, a new date and time must be arranged within 48hrs. Failure to do so will result in you losing your deposit and you will need to pay a new deposit to rebook. This will only be done ONCE. If you need to change your appointment a second time, you will need to pay a new deposit
Failure to pay outstanding fees will result in all future appointments being cancelled.
If you are more than 10 mins late to your appointment it will be cancelled and 100% of the service will need to be paid for before we reschedule a new appointment.
It is understandable that unavoidable issues may arise and in case of an emergency I will do my best to work with you, however I also ask you to please take into consideration this is my livelihood & that cancellations (regardless of the situation) have a large impact on my income.
No Shows
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will need to pay the full price of the missed service within 48hrs. Failure to do so will result in you being banned from the studio.
Should you wish to rebook, you must pay the remainder of your missed appointment as stated above as well as 100% of the new appointment up front.
Failure to pay for missed services and/or missing 2 appointments will result in you being banned from the studio
Timing
Although I appreciate being early, please wait until your scheduled appointment time to come into the studio. Do not come 5-10 mins early. The time I have between clients is used to clean, prep my work space and have something to eat. If I am ready early I will let you know.
Children & Friends
The studio is not a suitable place for kids, it is a space to relax unwind and have some much deserved YOU time. This is not possible with a tiny human on your lap or at your feet. I ask that you please base your appointments around being able to come alone. I also do not offer gel for anyone under 16.
This also applies to friends and family. I need your full attention to do my best work, and friends can be very distracting. Just bring your lovely self! You can show your friends and family your new nails after the appointment.
Illness
Please ensure you never come to an appointment if you are sick! I work in very close proximity to you which means it is crucial that you reschedule if you suspect you are unwell. If you fail to reschedule & show up to an appointment unwell, you will be sent home immediately and you will need to pay for the full service you were booked in for.
I ask that if you do need to reschedule due to sickness, that you provide a MINIMUM of 24hrs notice. If you don’t, my standard cancellation policy applies. I understand that it is not your fault if you get sick, but as a small business I can not afford the financial burden cancellations have on my business.
COVID
If you or anyone you have been in contact with has been feeling unwell, or is displaying ANY signs or symptoms of Covid-19, please stay at home and reschedule your appointment. Unfortunately due to the financial impact of Covid cancellations, - my standard cancellation policy applies to all appointments affected by sickness.
Refunds
Morning Glory Nails holds a strict no refund policy. I will always do my best to remedy any grievances, however under no circumstances will a refund be offered.
