Aftercare.
Having nails is a team effort, I can do a great job but if you don’t look after your nails once you leave the studio, they won’t last.
So please remember to oil your cuticles 2-3 times a day. This keeps your natural nails strong and significantly decreases lifting or chipping. I go into more detail on why here
Don’t use your nails as tools! This means- use scissors to open that parcel, a knife or a friend to open that can, and don’t use them to pick price stickers off presents.
If you are washing dishes, you MUST wear gloves. Warm soapy water and gel polish don’t make for a long lasting mani.
If you have a spa pool or love baths, please try to keep your hands out of the water as much as you can, long soaks in warm water will cause lifting.
Keeping your nails/ hands hydrated really makes a difference, so don’t be shy when using cuticle oil and moisturiser.
